It doesn't hallucinate facts about your company because it can only retrieve what you've actually written. Websites (single pages, full site crawl, or sitemap), PDFs, Word documents (.docx), plain text files (.txt), and Markdown. For websites, Ontroz respects robots.txt and handles JavaScript-heavy SPAs. There's no limit on the number of source types per chatbot — mix and match freely.

It responds with your configured fallback message instead of making something up (e.g., 'I don't have that info — please email support@yourcompany.com'). You can customize this message per chatbot. If you're on Pro+, you can also enable human takeover to jump into the conversation personally.

All paid plans (Starter and Pro) start with a 7-day free trial. A credit card is required upfront, but you won't be charged until day 8. You can cancel any time during the trial with zero charge. Full limits unlock the moment you're successfully billed.

A public REST API is on our roadmap and coming soon. When it ships, you'll be able to create chatbots, ingest content, query the AI, and retrieve leads programmatically. We'll notify you when it's available.

All your content is stored in a private, isolated vector database. Your trained content is never shared with other users or used to train any shared model. Files are stored encrypted at rest. Session tokens are hashed — never stored in plaintext.

Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation so you can re-subscribe and pick up where you left off. After 90 days: vectors are deleted at T+30 days, messages at T+60, and the full account at T+90. You'll receive a warning email before each deletion phase.
